Nate Schaumberg
Senior Producer
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Nate’s trajectory into game production started earlier than most. He spent his youth designing Lode Runner levels on an Apple IIe before formally studying 2D and 3D art and animation at university. His accidental leap into a technical support role at Accolade (triggered entirely by helping a neighbour configure a PC boot disk) kicked off a production career that has spanned more than 25 years.
As a Senior Producer at Koffeecup, Nate’s day-to-day focuses on keeping our teams running efficiently. It’s a delicate balancing act involving clear goals, platform capabilities, and keeping ambitious designs realistic enough to actually deliver. Having worked alongside the studio during a previous stint at Meta, he was drawn to Koffeecup by the team's creative drive and the distinct lack of corporate hierarchy.
Before landing in our neck of the woods, Nate’s CV included notable stops at LucasArts, Planet Moon, Cloud Chamber (working on BioShock), and Meta Horizon Worlds. When he isn’t balancing project schedules or tackling his Hades II habit, he can be found trail running or mountain biking. His proudest achievement of late isn’t a shipped title, but the resurrection of a nearly dead lemon tree in his garden. He also co-habits with an incredibly photogenic Pomsky named Rocket, a dog with high intelligence but zero hostage-survival skills if snacks are involved.
Koffee: Black V60 pour-over, or a mocha with strictly no whipped cream.
